Policies and legal information

Service Boundaries

This page explains what Pay Cycle Budgeting UK does and does not provide.

What we provide

Pay Cycle Budgeting UK provides personal household budgeting support using spreadsheets and plain-English explanations. The service can help organise income, bills, payment dates, regular household costs and estimated safe-spend by pay cycle.

What we do not provide

We do not provide regulated financial advice, debt advice, credit advice, benefits advice, tax advice, investment advice, pension advice, mortgage advice, insurance advice, accountancy services, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT work, HMRC submissions or legal advice.

Debt and repayments

Debts, repayments or arrears may be shown as household budget lines where the customer has provided the information. We do not advise which debt to pay first, whether to enter a plan, whether to consolidate, whether to borrow, or whether to use a debt solution.

Benefits, tax and legal matters

We can include benefit, wage or tax-credit income provided by the customer as figures in a household budget. We do not assess entitlement, appeal benefit decisions, calculate tax liability or give legal advice.

When signposting may be needed

Where appropriate, customers may be signposted to regulated debt advice, benefits advice, tax support, legal advice, safeguarding support or emergency help. Signposting is not a recommendation of a regulated product or service.

Customer responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate figures and deciding what action to take. The budget is only as accurate as the information provided.
