Policies and legal information

Data Protection Policy

This policy summarises how Pay Cycle Budgeting UK works to protect personal information.

Data minimisation

Only information needed to provide the household budgeting service, manage the customer relationship, meet obligations or handle risk should be collected.

Accuracy

Customers are asked to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Budgets and spreadsheets are based on the information supplied.

Security

Documents, emails, spreadsheets, call recordings and evidence should be stored securely, with access limited to the person or people who need it to provide the service.

Evidence handling

Customers should be asked to hide National Insurance numbers, claim references, bank account details and unrelated transactions before sending Support Rate evidence.

Retention and deletion

Information should not be kept longer than needed. Evidence supplied only for eligibility checks should be deleted after review unless a clear reason to keep it exists.

Data incidents

Any suspected data breach should be recorded, investigated and escalated quickly. Where required, the ICO and affected individuals should be informed.
